Emily began her nursing career as a Labor and Delivery RN in 2001 after she received her BSN from UNC-Charlotte. In 2008 she graduated from Frontier School of Midwifery and Family Nursing with her MSN and Women's Healthcare Nurse Practitioner degrees. Since 2008 she has been working as a Women's Healthcare NP in various OBGYN offices in several states. Emily is board certified with the National Certification Corporation and is licensed to practice in Alabama as an NP. She has been practicing in Alabama since 2010.
Emily lives in Meridianville with her husband, step daughter, and her son and daughter from a previous marriage. She also has two loving dogs to keep her busy. Her passions outside of gynecology are gardening, hiking, yoga, playing guitar, dancing, singing, puzzles, and she is a huge lover of travel. Originally born in Asheville, NC she has lived in TN, AZ, and now AL since 2009. She transitioned into practicing as a holistic practitioner in 2021 when she opened Womb Space Healing Center in Huntsville after finding so called "alternative therapies" to be critical for healing a long term illness that traditional care could not help her with.
Emily has completed a 6 month training program to become a certified Flower Essence Practitioner. Flower essences are helpful in a myriad of ways on the physical, emotional, mental and energetic levels. These essences are particularly useful in helping women work through sexual trauma, abuse, and the general suppression of the feminine and sexuality. In April 2022 she became a Certified Flower Essence Practitioner after completing the credentialing process. In April 2025 Emily completed the Level 1 & 2 Holistic Pelvic Care Certification. She is currently finishing her Level 3 Certification to become a Peristeam Hydrotherapist as well. More on these specialties further down in the website.
The summer of 2020 she took a training program through Huntsville Crisis Services to become a forensic nurse examiner with both physical and sexual abuse victims. Her knowledge of how to interact with and help victims of abuse is unique as a practitioner in gynecology. This knowledge and skill set is not taught in traditional medical or nursing schools. She has always had an interest in working with women as a sexual counselor, not just in instances of abuse but also for relationship guidance, sexual difficulties, and educating women on their bodies. Her goal is to help them be comfortable discussing their sexual wants and needs with whomever they choose.
Flower essences are liquid, energetic medicine derived from flowers, plants, and trees. Mother Earth has so many natural remedies to share with us that have been forgotten but were always available to us. Basically, a flower essence helps shift and move deeply held patterns or beliefs imprinted in childhood that are now affecting us in adulthood. They bring awareness to these patterns and help us release them so we can heal. They have been used for centuries in ceremony, for spiritual development, and as ancient medicine.
Flower essences are dispensed in glass dropper bottles and usually taken several times a day under the tongue but can be applied topically or used in a bath or humidifier. Results to essences vary from profound and immediate to subtle shifts of mental and emotional states. These essences do not interact with any other medications, herbs, or drugs the person may be taking and are completely safe. Emily will meet with you for a consult about why you are seeking treatment and create a unique formula for you to take home and use per her directions. This process takes several months and several different formulas usually as you traverse your healing journey.
Emily was certified in the Wholesome Fertility Method in October 2023 as she continued to gain knowledge to create her own unique fertility program and practice of holistic gynecology in Huntsville. In this one of a kind program she combines many modalities to create a whole body, mind, and soul approach to help couples bring a new life into the world. Traditional infertility care only looks at the woman's hormonal health and the man's semen analysis. This misses so much as both partner's health on every level contribute to a couple's ability to conceive and carry a baby to term.
In the Womb Healing Fertility Package Emily works with couple's over the course of six months to get them in the best health possible to conceive. She orders and interprets lab work and recommends natural and holistic treatment options for both partners. This payment is due in full at time of first appointment minus a $50 deposit made when the appointment is scheduled. She has recently added a payment option. Have you ever had an abnormal pap smear? If so you are in the majority and I am in this category as well. Traditional medicine gives you only two options for treatment, surgery or wait a year and test again. Well I don't know about you but I find those options riddled with anxiety, pain, complications, and long term consequences such as incompetent cervix resulting in pregnancy loss or preterm delivery. Emily is certified in Level 1 & 2 and offers these sessions as part of her holistic gynecology services for $333/3 session packages. To her knowledge she is the only certified practitioner in Huntsville Alabama or the state in general. These sessions are performed on a jade/tourmaline/amethyst heated infrared mat for additional healing benefit. The internal pelvic work is not required and only energetic work can be given if that is desired. I perform flower essence evaluations and distribute unique formulas that I make to clients for any problem, but with a focus on gynecologic problems. They are specifically helpful with womb healing from any type of sexual trauma or suppression. I am the only holistic practitioner in Huntsville certified to create these one of a kind flower essence formulas. This is a three month commitment as the healing process is a journey and not an overnight fix. At the initial consultation you pay $300 which covers that and the 2 follow up sessions. During the session we discuss your obstacles so that I can formulate a custom flower essence formulas you will take for one month based on your unique situation. Light Emitting Diode (LED) phototherapy is the application of light energy to tissue to obtain therapeutic benefits. The energy is used to improve cellular performance. Phototherapy is known for its healing and anti-inflammatory properties and has a variety of applications across many medical fields. Research has shown that phototherapy can: increase circulation, accelerate tissue repair, kill acne bacteria, decrease inflammation, improve skin tone, texture and clarity, reduce ease muscle and joint pain, stiffness, spasm and arthritis.
LED therapy is a highly versatile modality and can be used as a powerful stand-alone or add-on treatment to most spa-menu services. For maximum benefit, a 30-minute treatment is recommended. Whenever possible use over clean, dry, bare skin as lotions, creams, serums and clothing may decrease effectiveness by restricting light penetration.
Blue, red and near-infrared are the most commonly used wavelengths in LED phototherapy. These specific wavelengths are well researched and scientifically proven to produce therapeutic benefits. Blue penetrates through the epidermis and is known to kill acne bacteria. Red penetrates into the dermal layer and has been shown to enhance collagen and elastin production through photo-biostimulation of fibroblasts. Near-infrared penetrates deepest and increases micro-circulation (tissue repair), decreases inflammation and attenuates pain.
